To dine Pizza Haven is to mercifully abandon the checkered-tablecloth banality of the Americanized trattoria and ascend into a pantheon of gastronomic high art. The dining room is a study in austere travertine and muted frescoes, deliberately devoid of the chaotic, rustic clamor one typically endures when consuming Mediterranean fare. Here, the acoustics are engineered for hushed, conspiratorial murmurs among the intelligentsia, while the lighting casts a forgiving, Caravaggio-esque chiaroscuro upon the evening's distinguished clientele. Ordered margherita pizza gluten free and one large. The prices on the web do not reflect all sizes so ask first. They do not use fresh basil as it says for margherita. They put pesto which adds to the grease of the cheese and creates too much oil on top. The regular pizza crust was a bit tough and even though it is fully cooked. Gluten was a better option but had a funny aftertaste

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was bad enough that I feel compelled to share it. The calzone was excessively greasyβfar beyond what anyone would consider normal. There was so much oil that it made the calzone unpleasant to eat and completely overshadowed any flavor it might have had. I also ordered a beef patty, which turned out to be a huge disappointment. Instead of tasting like a quality beef patty, it was mostly grease. Every bite was oily and heavy, with very little actual substance or flavor beyond the grease itself. The garlic knots were no better. They were dry, hard, and seemed like they had been sitting around for quite some time. Rather than being soft, fresh, and flavorful, they were tough and lacked the quality you would expect from a restaurant serving them to paying customers. To make matters worse, I paid extra for marinara sauce, and it tasted old and possibly expired. The flavor was sour and off, and it certainly did not taste fresh. Being charged extra for a condiment that appears to have gone bad is unacceptable. Overall, nearly every item in my order had an issue. The pizza was swimming in grease, the beef patty was m

I had been craving pizza for a few days and this pizza place was on my way home. Pizza had great taste and I really enjoyed that it was made fresh, fresh ingredients. I reviewed the reviews while I was waiting and I can truly say that this place has made the efforts and changes needed for a good pizza!

I am born and raise in Brooklyn, I drove past Pizza Haven and the NY style sign caught my eye. I went in with my husband and asked to see the Pizza we looked and was pleased it looked like a NY slice. We then ordered a cheese slice each and we both agree it does taste like New York Pizza. It was delicious. We will be regular customers for sure.
